An easy way would be to use a text field in pxesconfig. At startup default is 
parsed and the text put into the text field. The user can edit it and at 
finishing pxesconfig the origin default file will be overwritten.

But it's a PXES-client :-) I need 1000Base-T for 2D-Videos as I have mplayer 
running on the terminal server. 100Base-TX is enough for 2D-KDE objects and 
3D-OpenGL, but not for 2D-Video which needs setting pixel by pixel. And the 
modules are thin like you want it ;-)
