The C3 processor will work perfectly fine on a kernel that is Pentium
Pro (i586) or lower. If you try to boot it on a system that has Pentium
4 or Athlon optimizations, it won't work. I will work with i586. I
have several of these chips and have never had an issue with i586
optimized Linux distributions. You do not need a special C3 kernel.
The benefits are not worth the trouble. There is something else going
on that is causing your problems.
