Dear All,

That problem of math module not getting compiled got solved. I spent few
hours and finally figured that since Ubuntu 12.04 they have changed the
library directory structure. so the "libm.a" location has been changed to
"arch specific directory" and hence the make was not able to find it...!!

But now I am faced with another challenge that when I try to insert
rtai_math.ko it shows "unknown symbol error."

My dmesg shows:

[ 276.359092] rtai_math: Unknown symbol __get_cpu_features (err 0)
[ 276.359104] rtai_math: Unknown symbol gammaf_r (err 0)
[ 276.359112] rtai_math: Unknown symbol errno (err 0)
[ 276.359120] rtai_math: Unknown symbol __fpclassifyd (err 0)
[ 276.359137] rtai_math: Unknown symbol strtod (err 0)
[ 276.359146] rtai_math: Unknown symbol infinity (err 0)
[ 276.359152] rtai_math: Unknown symbol gamma_r (err 0)
[ 276.359162] rtai_math: Unknown symbol strtof (err 0)
[ 276.359170] rtai_math: Unknown symbol infinityf (err 0)
[ 276.359177] rtai_math: Unknown symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ (err 0)
[ 276.359185] rtai_math: Unknown symbol _dl_hwcap (err 0)
[ 276.359186] rtai_math: no symbol version for strlen
[ 276.359187] rtai_math: Unknown symbol strlen (err -22)
[ 276.359195] rtai_math: Unknown symbol __signbitd (err 0)

Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong?

I am updating this thread so that any newbie like me if facing the same
issue , can find it.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
Rathin
