Re: RH8 - Evolution disappeared?

Thanks to all who replied with suggestions.

I never figured out what exactly happened, but resolved by installing
the disappeared packages:

gdm
evolution (and all dependencies via red-carpet)
gedit
nautilus

In retrospect, around the time of the disappearance, I'd been poking
around in the System Settings -> Packages menus, seeing what was
installed and what wasn't, and reading about things that were not
installed. It's possible I de-selected something, but I surely would
have noticed a 'are you sure you want to remove packages?'. Maybe a bug
in the package manager? Who knows.
