read /usr/share/sendmail-cf/README and/or get a good sendmail book. There are several methods for controlling your relay configuration. look for references to 'relay_allow','name_allow', and 'ip_allow'. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Swanand P Bhorkar Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 10:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: mail server problem hi, Can someone please explain the difference between an open relay and a closed relay ? How can i determine whether my mail server is an open relay or a closed relay ? And what steps are required if i want to make my mail server a closed relay ? My mail server is being listed automatically on some spam blocking sites and i am not able to send/receive mails from some of my contacts. thanks, swanand _______________________________________________ Guinness-list mailing list [email protected] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/guinness-list
