When you say that it is unable to support your 56K modem, do you mean that you get a slow connection, or you get no connection at all? Actually, 8.0 has been out for 3 months, and 8.1 beta just came out. What problems are you having with 6.2? What hardware are you running it on (CPU, RAM, HD, etc.)? What are you using it for?
