I guess you don't use the latest version of ClamAV (v0.70) with Sentinix ?
What version do you use where you don't see problems?

Would my solution be to build an own Sentinix release based on Linux 
 >From Scratch 5.1?
Can I use the actual Sentinix source on LFS5.1?
