That is a lot of work just to get slackware to play nice, I need to
take my pocket print server home, so we have put the old ubuntu server
(10.0.4) back in to do the job, sane talks to the scanner perfectly on
slack, but we need printing, and scanner cant work with pocket print
server, so we are back to where we were a week ago :->  and will just
have to keep it that way.
