No there is no Synax-error.
I use
<SYS_UPDAT_RPM_LOCATION>nfs://<IP_of_Server/Path/to/my/Updates</SYS_UPDAT_RPM_LOCATION>

as discribed in the docu.

I made an Online-Update (with Yast2) on my server and saved the downloaded
files.
As my client has the same configuration as the server (Hardware, installed
Packages),
the files I use shouldn't make any problems.

The manually Syntax I use (-Uvh) works fine. The sample is from the SuSE
Supportpage
when you search for kdevelop to install the Package autoconf.rpm.
