not really sure, but on x86, mkinitrd adds the splashscreen to the initrd file
with  "$splash_bin -s -f $cfgname >> $initrd_image",
I guess you'll have to do something similar manually, since the code in
mkinitrd probably doesn't support getting the resolution from aboot.conf ...

possibly the kernel will need another parameter "splash=whatever", but stepan
should know more about that ... ;)
