Booting suse from SRM

Hi,

I have an alphapc 264dp. I am trying to get srm to boot suse from my hard drive.

I've entered:

P00>>>boot dkc100 -fi /boot/vmlinux -fl "root=/dev/sda1 bootdevice=/dev/sda2"

I get:

(boot dkc100 -fi /boot/vmlinux -fl "root=/dev/sda1 bootdevice=/dev/sda2")
Block 0 of DKC100.0.8.0 is not a valid boot block
Bootstrap failure.

Currently I am booting my suse through the boot.iso cd I burned and selecting boot installed system. It's a bit lengthy, but it works. =) Alternatively, I also have alphaBIOS 5.7 R-1, so maybe I could boot through that, but unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with Suse nor Alpha's to know the OS path and file paths. This is my first foray into Risc based architecture and Suse Linux.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
