Here is what I tried: # cp /boot/vmlinux.gz /boot/vmlinux.old.gz # modprobe loop # rpm --install --force k_deflt-2.4.19-0.alpha.rpm # mk_initrd -i initrd -k vmlinuz <changed /etc/aboot.conf to use the new kernel> Then when I try to boot this kernel it cannot find the root file system. Looks like it is not finding any SCSI devices. At least I don't see them being discovered. This is a DEC Personal Work Station with a qLogic fast wide scsi card. What am I missing?
