I don't expect this to work. "rcdomino stop" is just sending "quit" to
the server console. So if domino is able to stop all tasks, it should
go down with "rcdomino stop".

Can you have a look at the console, when this happens? Perhaps some
agent is running and preventing to stop domino immediately. I use such
scripts, too, so theoretically it should work.
