Well, setting "hintslight" worked *almost* well on my openSUSE 11.3 
desktop. But on OOo Writer, IPAxeMincho didn't look good, and setting 
"hintnone" solved the problem.

By the way, when I changed the setting for fonts via "KDE Settings", 
~/.fonts.conf was automatically generated. I'm afraid this may cause 
confusion, if the assumed solution for this problem would be adding 
extra settings to files under /etc/fonts directory.

# As far as I understand, settings described in "~/.*" file will always
# overwrite the system global settings.

Am I worrying over nothing ?
