Are you using Packman for anything? It seems if I tried to use what you're
using instead I'd run into version conflicts fighting each other back & forth
when the (frequently updated) deps get updated.

Right now I'm unable to get mpegs created by dvbcut to play the video with
VLC. I just get a black screen to go with the sound track.
