Hi all, This might be a silly question... But how feasible is it to hibernate in one computer and then resume in another? Assume both are the same architecture - x86-64 - but everything else might be different, including the processor. Background: with the recent advances in both technology and Linux, it's no longer necessary to have my personal system linked to any one pc. I can have a generic initramfs, large kernel image with all the modules and Debian installation in a self contained fully encrypted disk. This disk will be contained in a USB3/eSATA portable enclosure which I will take anywhere with me. Now if I could hibernate in one computer and boot in another my plan for world domination would get one step further... The final being having it all contained in a 500gb USB5 pendrive.
