Fred, I haven't _heard_ of anyone having problems with the conversion, but _I_ did have one small issue. I have a box that I had to compile a custom kernel (i586), which isn't supported...an unsupported arch. On that box, I too had setup additional repos for yum and used the protectbase option. What the issue boiled down to was that the tao-release package wasn't removed/replaced by the equivalent from CentOS during the conversion. I'm not sure if it was the arch or yum option, but that particular box did have an issue. Although we didn't have a lot of Tao boxes, I've successfully and without flaw, converted 8 boxes so far. The i586 box simply had to have the tao-release package removed, and then all was copacetic. Hope this will help during your conversion. -- Michael Kimmick Software Administrator Pueblo School District No. 70 Pueblo, CO 81006 (719)295-6531
