Can we hold a vote? I like protectbase a lot, with it I can arbitrarily
choose any package to install from "unsafe" repos without having to
fudge with config files. For instance, days ago I installed the new Gaim
from dag -- all I had to do was "yum -f -y install gaim" and from now on
gaim is out of the "untouchable elite" from the simple fact that the
installed version is not from the "base" repos. I'll always get the
newer version.

I vote backport.
