ok

did an apt-get uprade yesterday on my debian system & now the tape
support has stopped working

i'm using the same kernel & modules as before

it worked fine until yesterday

the modules are insisting again on looking for irq -1

why cant i *tell* the module when i insmod it that i want it to use irq
7 ?

will this stuff ever make it to the kernel tree ?

very confused
