That depends on what "this module" is.  The binary module you tried to 
insert was built for a specific Linux kernel and it isn't what you have 
(and I'm pretty sure it's something beyond 2.2.19).  But ftape in general 
works fine in 2.2.19 -- you just have to build it from source code for 
your particular kernel (i.e. using the same kernel interface header files 
that were used to build your kernel).
