I may be missing something here but doesn't it says the device has No 
Smart Capability. If that's is true nothing you do will get the 
information you want. I'd check WD's web site and see if the have a chat 
site and as the question. Don't tell them you using Linux or they will 
tell you they don't support, at least here in US.
