ASMedia1153E enclosure, not accessible for SMART

Enclosure vendor: LC-Power USB-SATA 3.0 6gb enclosure
Bridge chipset: Asmedia1153E

Smartctl open device: /dev/csmi0,0 [SAT] failed: Invalid argument
Christian argues, USB devices can't be reached through csmi,. Still my Windows 8.0 core machine uses the intel xhci driver for this enclosure.
How or where do I find the needed USB Device ID for submitting to solve this issue?
