The Garnet source code was put into the public domain, and is freely distributable.

The Garnet manual remains Copyright Carnegie Mellon, so we still have some (legal) say in
its use.

I (on behalf of CMU and the authors) hereby give official permission for the new
sourceforge version, although I think it is pretty hard to use. It really needs "Next"
buttons on every page, in addition to the Previous and Contents buttons.

If someone wants to make this into a book, I am sure that will be fine too, but you should
ask us first.
