Hi Charles,

Thanks again for the suggestions! It took me some time to look around and understand what we are up against, so sorry for the delay in responding!

Yes, apparently
(https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37090254/is-it-possible-to-use-oauth-2-0-for-office365-smtp)
Office365 requires users, at least oauth2 users, to use their
proprietary API.

We want to retrieve email from various providers, including Office365, and deliver to local maildir.

It seems Office365 will not make this easy because they support neither IMAP nor POP3 but only their proprietary protocol.

The other providers (gmx.com, etc) do not bring forth these problems.

I guess I will see if I can get ideas from the getmail source code to get what I want.

I appreciate very much your ready willingness to help!!

Best wishes,
Ranjan
