There are list archives here:
https://lists.mj2.org/cgi-bin/mj_wwwusr?func=archive-summary-reverse&list=mj2-dev
The just aren't public or pretty. :-)
FWIW, it seems like something like incron
(http://inotify.aiken.cz/?section=incron&page=about&lang=en) would
make an easy way to hook mhonarc (or whatever) into the built-in mj2
archives.

If only I had the time...

Right now Majordomo2 isn't packaging-friendly at all. That needs to
be the top priority to actually have a release, IMHO.
On that note, off the top of my head, here's my list of things I'd
like to see done, in no particular order.
* Make things packaging-friendly, including tools for
adding/removing domains (without using "make").
* SQLite support, maybe switching to that as the default database.
* An easy-to-use tool for switching between database backends and
upgrading database backends. (If there is a way to handle old
versions of BerkeleyDB, I'd like to know what it is.)
* Move the "official" VCS to something public. Maybe look at
git/svk/etc.
I'm sure there's more...

It's not (just) about resources for me. I haven't done more due
simply to lack of time.
That said, if you don't mind setting all that up, I say go for it.
I'll help as much as I can.
