Well, others have had the better part of a decade to do so.  Nobody but
me made a peep when the security issue was reported, and I had to
re-learn Perl just to fix it (and made a botch of it the first time).

I won't disagree about mailman; I still curse it for not doing things
that Mj2 has done essentially forever.

For me the first nail in the coffin was when even the Perl people
wouldn't use it.  And that was back when it was actively developed.
Mailman was created entirely out of language bigotry (really, I was
there).

Anyway, there's a core of something good in the Mj2 code.  I know there
is, that's why I still run it.  And indeed I've long since moved on.
But I would be happy to help in what limited capacity I can if someone
else wants to do stuff.  Of course, that's always been the case.  But
there's a lot that needs doing.
