Replying to the thread I created thread...
So I have been running Thunderbird OSX and Mulberry side by side for the
past couple of months. Mostly it is okay and it has become my primary
mail client (partially forced because otherwise you never really get
familiar with it).
There are some things that I have not been able to solve with
extensions/plugins and I thought a summary of these would be useful for
others who might go down this same route, though obviously YMMV because
what I use, you may not, and vice versa.
Configuring it to work with my LDAP address book (at Tuffmail) was a lot
of experimentation, but it does now.
It doesn't display a deleted email count in a mailbox
You can't right-click Match against a specific email to quickly find the
others in same thread
You can't insert a default domain in outbound addresses if one is not
specified
You don't have ability to lock folder tabs to a particular folder
There is an issue where it won't close the current window when you
delete a message (works for some servers but not others!)
You can't change the subject line for messages that are redirected, nor
can you do bulk redirection of messages
It sometimes fails to continue checking for new mail in a subfolder
until the application restarted (especially if you wander between wired
and wireless connections)
On the whole, it is usable - if not as flexible as Mulberry. But you
probably all knew that.
