Possibly the same issue. More data == longer time to update (I think, 
I've not looked at exactly how neomail maintains its files) == impatient 
user clicking ``send'' multiple times.

A quick read through the script makes it look to me impossible for the 
same message to be sent multiple time unless it is submitted multiple times.
