how the C-client API use in Pine to send/retrieve

hello every body, I am using the c-client library in an Application where I can send and retrieve Emails. My need is to send a Base64 encoded MIME message. I know that Pine use the C-client API from the IMAP tool kit, Can any body help me with this? Is there is any specific source file which I should look into in Pine where I can send a base64 encoded MIME message. Or is there is any API document which describe the API of Pine ?
