Re: "Helo command rejected". ?? What's wrong?

It is likely that the SMTP server you are connecting to has started
enforcing proper SMTP headers. It isn't hard using winsock on your system
to learn the assigned host name.

If you are configured for static IP addresses, then you need to configure
a domain name. If you use, DHCP, your domain name might come from the DHCP
server and that may have just been reconfigured if it is from your ISP. If
your DHCP server is your local access firewall (NetGear, Linksys, etc.),
I believe there is a configuration choice there.

On windows XP, you set the local primary DNS suffix for your computer via:
   On desktop:
     RMouse click on My Computer
        Click: Computer Name tab
          Click: Change button (to rename computer ...)
                 click: More...
                   fill in "DNS SUffix and NetBIOS Computer Name"


I'm not a PCPINE user, but I suspect there is a configuration choice as
well which will allow for a fully qualified host name.
