Hmmm... I think I know what may be happening. I only send mail through ASK if it fails some initial checks and SpamAssassin marks it Spam. If, for some reason, the returned confirmation isn't also marked as SPAM, ASK wouldn't see that. So now, at the beginning of my procmailrc, I have added :0 fW * ^Subject:.* Fw: Please confirm (conf# |/usr/local/etc/ask/bin/ask.py --procmail --loglevel=5 --logfile=/$PMDIR/ask.log I'm still a bit confused about whitelist.txt vs in whitelist-local.txt as well as later, after mail goes through Spam Assassin. Earlier today I wrote: I have someone who sent me three pieces of mail today. Each was confirmed. He is STILL not in my whitelist. What's going on? What have I missed in turning things on or setting permissions? I configured an initial whitelist; I'm a bit confused as to whether this should be stored in whitelist.txt or in whitelist-local.txt In any case, ASK didn't add my correspondent and he's been getting... twitchy. He's begun to believe that I am blocking all of his email :( -- - Vicki Vicki Brown ZZZ Journeyman Sourceror: P.O.
