Hi Thorsten,

Sorry I can't reply to your last e-mail. I tried the registry patch and Sylpheed-Claws 0.8.11 refused to start after the patch. I followed the "install over my install" instructions to recover, but unfortunately SC still can't remember my data location (folders and filtering in default location). I can see the info is there, but how do I point SC to this data?

Secondly, for some reason SC can no longer find Aspell or so I assume as the spelling menu is grayed out.

Lastly, the plug-ins that you suggested in an earlier mail don't work either. DevilViewer produced the following error in Win2k Pro when I followed your instructions:

"The procedure entry point mimeview_unregister_viewer_factory could not be located in the dynamic link library sylpheed.dll"

Trying to install the Tray plug-in produced an intervention by Win2k Pro system saying that SC had produced errors and was being closed down by the OS.

The one thing I was successful at, was finding the .sylpheed/mimetmp folder. Apparently, I needed to tell the system not to hide files and folders before it could be found. After that, the "dir /x" command worked.

Cheers,

Brian
