Yeah, but imagine if I didn't.  Ugh, they'd all be sitting in my Inbox 
mashed together in no particular order.

Ah, this will create a horrible cycle, as I forward every piece of mail 
to ZOË, which then pushes it along to SMTP server, and is redownloaded 
by my pop client, to be forwarded to ZOË, which then pushes it to my 
SMTP server, etc. ad nauseam.

I'm not a java coder, so I can't volunteer to do this or I would 
happily;  would it make sense to give ZOË an email address of its own, 
so that if mail came to that address at ZOË's SMTP port it wouldn't be 
pushed out to the defined SMTP server, but simply added to the archive 
instead?

It seems a lot of people ask for a way to do something similar, so 
their existing local spam filters do all the work, and only filtered 
mail goes to ZOË.

Yes, already working nicely for my outgoing mail.  Which is part of the 
problem, I guess.

Yes, it's a standard rule, but not included in the Rules ordering, but 
separate.  I'm not sure if it's evaluated before or after the rest of 
them, and haven't been able to find it on Google.

By the way, something frightening happened last night.  I set up ZOË as 
my pop server, and my client started downloading all my old mail that 
ZOË had archived.  AUGH, it grabbed 2600 messages before I noticed and 
stopped it.
