Yeah... I don't think the dance scene is all that important really. 
It seems most modern music is all theory and no soul or perhaps 
neither. It's a problem with s/w based music equipment... the newer 
ones are built for dance music so it's too easy to get dance tracks 
out. I come from that scene but I want out... 

I was djing detroit tech/deep house up to a few months ago. I also 
like the west london jazzbeat scene but I'm afraid that is beginning 
to stagnate too... 

The point is. Liz has a voice that is very special and has had 
something magical associated with it (I'm talking about the Cocteau 
Twins). Now Massive Attack are pretty airy... Maybe slightly 
mainstream but they have that swirly dreamy feel that suits What you 
expect from Liz. To jump into a style of music that involves no 
talent at all (the more mainstream dance music/electronic scene at 
the moment) is something too many great artists are doing and they 
should step back and be very careful here. It really doesn't do much 
for their continuing credibility...
