Yeah...Cable companies have planned this for awhile...but the model is basically the same as most any mobile phone deal.

I think that's how it's supposed to work in Canada, too, though no one has ever billed me extra. I know that's definitely how it works on my phone, where my plan covers the first 500MB but I've never gone over.
