If the crowd was there to praise the man at the podium, sure.  But they 
were there to ask tough questions.  Obama doesn't like tough questions. 
As we saw earlier that week -- on Tuesday, I think? -- when Obama is in a 
tight spot, he gets angry with people to his right *and* left.
