Karl, I have to tell you, you've been arguing both sides (and all sides, and God knows what sides) of posts for as long as I've known you, but especially this week. I love you, buddy, but you're not always the easiest list-mate, and this week you've been especially onerous. We put up with you, but you should know that you're a burr in the saddle on the best of days, and a real a$$ on the worst of days. Bruce over-reacted earlier this week, but he had cause. This has not been your best week. I've been consistent in my discussion of this case (and cases like it). I believe in homeowner's rights, the right to bear arms, the right to self defense. I've taken a stand, and if that means that I die with 71 holes in me, at least there won't be any question of where I stood on the issue. I have no clue where you stand because you keep moving and calling it 'logic and reason.' It would be easier to have a conversation if you'd pick a stance and stick to it. "You'll all wrong (and you're all right)" isn't a stance, it's a contrarian reaction. (As a closet contrarian myself, I know whereof I speak.) I don't expect you to change (although that would be nice). I do expect you to at least think about what I've written here with the hope that maybe you'll ask God if there's any truth to it at all, and perhaps bend the knee to Him, if you won't to the rest of us, your friends, your debate opponents and allies. And if this sounds overly arrogant and terribly unpolitically correct of me, well. I'm a little tired of seeing my friends threaten to leave the list because you're too stubborn to rein in your bulldog tendencies and won't ever admit you're wrong about any freaking thing. It gets old.
