An ezeg in no way resembles a 'SynthAxe'. The SynthAxe had no 'patches' at all. It was a very expensive controller, and about as similar to an ezeg as a 40's banjo is to a Strat Plus.. The frets were split diagonally and allowed very controllable string bends. An ezeg is more similar to a Starr Labs Ztar, and indeed Yamaha infringed Starr Labs switch application patents when making the ezeg. Look on youtube for ezeg. I have owned both, (SynthAxe with all pedal and controller options, and I still have an ezeg) IMO the ezeg is a toy, and not an instrument.
