good advice! It is a common failure more for switching power supplies to
supply the voltage, but be unable to supply the current. So, then the
load is applied (sb turned on) the voltage will droop below the minimum
operating level.

Also, try cleaning the adaptor plug and sb power socket. If you have
deoxit (or another "electronics cleaner") spray both, insert, twist,
remove, repeat. You can also try alcohol or wd-40.

The other thing I might suggest if you think it's dead because the
screen is blank, try controlling it with a LMS UI (or material, and app,
etc). If you are using mysb.com you can remote control from there.

I believe the screen can be replaced, but I don't own a classic.
