Ron - great to hear! When I was still working as an engineer, and we got stuck tracking down a problem, a common approach would be for the design engineer to describe the design to another in detail. Often part way through describing it he would realize the problem, often without the "listener" ever saying a thing :). It really works! Anthony, I also use a static IP, but never remembered that I could listen to local files while waiting. I also had crappy isp for years (DSL) combined with the frequent power cuts...:( They recently ran fiber though our area, so that half is better. One point - I am not knowledgeable in this area but Jim (d6jg) advises to reserve the ip with the mac address in the router (easy), rather than going through the pcp's configuration. I know he told me why, but I can't recall. I also remember that prior to static ip, occasionally power cut recovery would assign a new address to my pcp, so my shortcuts (pcp and lms ui, material, etc) would need to be changed...
