Time elapsed/remaining is still probably something people will want to see on the DISP button... As you might be able to tell, I'm all for context-sensitive button reuse as long as it doesn't cause undo stress to the operator. Maybe this should be a function I'm easy on this too. I don't recall more than a handful of times where I've done that with a CD.
