Re: Unpause causes static

This is actually a hardware issue affecting serial numbers 1 through 68.
It's the same issue that causes an audible "pop" from the DAC when the
display powers on and off. There are a couple of possible software
workarounds, discussed below, but the best fix is to add a capacitor
 from +5V to gnd.

When I first designed the player, I did not account for the relatively
large spike generated when the display is switched on and off. There are
more than enough small decoupling caps all over the board, but it needs
one large cap somewhere for the display.

The sleep mode was something I added after the first boards had already
been done. I suppose I could just change sleep mode so it blanks the
display instead of shutting it off, but I like the idea of reducing power
consumption when it's not in use.

The issue with the sound getting messed up is caused by the MAS3507D being
reset and needing to be reconfigured. There's a simple software workaround
- we just need to re-initialize it after un-pausing.

I'll do some testing this weekend to figure how how large of a cap is
needed and where is the easiest place to install it. I think a 460uF cap
connected behind the IR receiver should do it.
