	I'd be willing to write those wrappers - the issue is that there will
need to be some new commands:
	extcontrol	Sets the server in 'external control' mode
	line1 (text)	Puts (text) on line 1
	line2 (text)	Puts (text) on line 2
	clear		Clear VFD
	irqueue		Sends the remote buttons that have been pressed since the last
irqueue request: up, down, etc
	keepext		"ping" command - see below
	srvcontrol	Puts the server back in 'internal control' - also happens 10
seconds after last external-control command.

	The 10-second delay is to guard against crashing or interrupted
scripts. So a script might look like this:

#!/usr/bin/perl
slimp3cmd extcontrol
slimp3cmd clear
slimp3cmd line1 "Hello, World!"
sleep 5
slimp3cmd srvcontrol

	Sound good?
