Re: SoJ/I, Week Eight: "a collection 1984-1989"

This was released by the soon-to-be defunct Duke Street Records in
Canada.  Having been compiled and released  by a Canadian label the
track list is primarily singles that had been released in Canada (with a
few exceptions like "Miss Punta Blanca" & "Taxi Ride" to flesh it out).

Duke St. was "absorbed" by the Universal Music Group - which was a
shame.... Duke St. had some really interesting musicians and was really
committed to artistry over commercialism.

The upside of it going to Universal was that it got a wider release.

Anyway - Duke St., picked the tunes. At the time Jane said she was
pleased by the release but hated the the layout of the lyrics... which
are ridiculously hard to read.

Duke St also released a collection of all of Jane's videos from the same
period (with the exception of "Bird In The Gravel") on VHS.  It's pretty
trippy to watch now.
