If you would like to try one of the jumbo 395MB RARs I'm downloading,
look at the posts by Isis in a.b.dvd.criterion.  I never though much
about how files are assembled until I hit these posts.

SABnzbd+ assembles the 99 articles at once after they are downloaded.
I opened a ticket for SABnzbd developers to look at better ways.

For now, I prefer to use Snooze/Xnews on them because the 4MB articles
are decoded and appended in order and there is no final assembly.
