Sorry, you're right - I had confused the product with its output. It's been a while, but the last time I danced this dance I had to install autoconf to get the project to build a working configure (this may have been an issue with the project itself). From memory I ended up configuring the project's config header and Makefile by hand. It certainly was a dependency hell I don't care to repeat (installing info to read documentation because of philosophical differences about flat text files and man pages ...). > It's the same basic idea as with DJB's build system.
