Hello, Just three weeks after the release of Posadis 0.60.1-2 for Windows, which fixed a security vulnerability in the server, I'm releasing yet another Windows-specific Posadis fix. This time, it fixes a bug due to bad compiler flags that could cause Posadis to crash at random occasions, though particularly due to errors in the resolving process. This release also fixes some smaller problems in the resolver code. You can read the security advisory here: http://www.posadis.org/security/pos_adv_005.txt And fetch your new Posadis-0.60.1-3 .exes here: http://www.posadis.org/download.php I'd like to underline once more that Posadis for Unix platforms does _not_ have this problem. Both security bugs have shown themselves to be pretty stupid errors in the process of porting Posadis from Unix to Windows. Sorry! The actual codebase of Posadis has /not/ proven itself to be vulnerable to security problems, and I'm hoping to keep it that way :) Oh, and credit where credit is due: this bug was found by hardings (see bug report 814387), who has also done a really nice job helping be to fix it, and testing my proposed fixes. Thanks!
