Posadis/Dnsquery/Mfedit 0.60.1, Poslib 1.0.1 released!

Hello everybody,

Well, Posadis 0.60.0 <http://www.posadis.org/releases/0.60.0.php> was a 
fun ride while it lasted, but based on the feedback I received after the 
release, I was forced to release new versions of the Posadis programs to 
conquer problems that arose.

That's why I proudly release Posadis 0.60.1, which is mainly a bugfix 
release over 0.60.0, though it contains some new features as well. Since 
this release doesn't address any security problems, there's no really 
urgent need to upgrade if it all works for you, though this new release 
does fix a few important bugs. An upgrade of Poslib /is/ highly 
recommented since it fixes a major bug in the TCP code.

This release features new releases of the Poslib, Posadis, Dnsquery and 
Mfedit packages. You can get the latest versions of your favorite DNS 
packages from the Posadis.org download page

    Changes in Poslib 1.0.1

    * Fixed FreeBSD build problems
    * Put off optimisations by default (caused problems on FreeBSD)
    * Fixed bug in txt_to_bool
    * Fixed a bug causing TCP queries not to work most of the time
    * txt_to_int now only parses nonnegative numbers; txt_to_negint was
      added if you need them.
    * Fixed problem in master file reader causing inexplicit domain
      names not to work.


    Changes in Posadis 0.60.1

    * Fixed FreeBSD build problems
    * Removed "Pos6" mention in posadis-config script
    * Fixed some compiler warnings due to deprecated headers
    * Made init script Mandrake Control Center-compatible
    * Fixed posadis-getroots crash when given wrong command-line arguments
    * Posadis now displays error an message when a secondary expires
    * Fixed bug where Posask would use too small timeout values for TCP
    * Posadis now quits if it encounters an unknown command-line option
    * RPM stops Posadis prior to uninstallation
    * RPM now installs /etc/posadisrc.example instead of /etc/posadisrc
      to prevemt your configuration from being overwritten
    * Added rudimentart chroot() capabilities (still need to test though)
    * Added check for unexpected data after config lines, and check for
      unexpected EOFs as well.
    * Added message when master file is loaded
    * Added serial number to message when secondary is loaded
    * Fixed bug in revmap module causing wrong error messages to be
      displayed for unknuwn configuration options

Libfam module:

    * Some info messages in FAM have been turned into error messages
    * Fixed FAM shutdown problems on FreeBSD (presumably other platforms
      as well)
    * Reduced polling interval to one second for more smooth shutdown.


    Changes in Dnsquery 0.60.1

    * Fixed instability problems under Windows
    * Added support for AXFR queries
    * Dnsquery now saves your most recent query names and servers
    * Fixed crashes when quitting while a query was still busy
    * Dnsquery doesn't follow CNAME chains if QTYPE==QTYPE_ANY anymore


    Changes in Mfedit 0.60.1

    * Fixed bug where FTP server address in 'new' dialog would actually
      be the mail server address
    * Now correctly suggest TTL value for new RRs from the SOA NTTL
      field of the master file
    * Fixed bug where asksave dialog would not disappear when opening a
      recent file
    * Only add master files to recent file list if their saving actually
      succeeded
    * RP domains don't need to have A record attached anymore for syntax
      checking
