Yes, I didn't think there could be any significant impropriety b/c of 
the GPL status, though the "Fire 3" name gave me pause at first - I 
know we're working towards 2.0, but 3 appearing commercially before 2 
gets beta tests? Something of a weird appearance. Looks from the 
website like the "3" was just a typo, though, so *shrug*
I _would_ have written Allume a not terribly kind email about being 
polite and telling the dev folks they were bundling the app if you all 
hadn't heard anything previously.

Hmmm. Okay. I've noticed that effect in some programs when they display 
tiffs/gifs/pngs w/ transparency. Again, it seemed odd with the "Fire 3" 
typo.

I would think this would be a nice thing to put up on the Fire 
mainpage, a kind of "people thought Fire was good enough to put in a 
bundle of excellent OS X programs".
