Yes, I didn't think there could be any significant impropriety b/c of the GPL status, though the "Fire 3" name gave me pause at first - I know we're working towards 2.0, but 3 appearing commercially before 2 gets beta tests? Something of a weird appearance. Looks from the website like the "3" was just a typo, though, so *shrug* I _would_ have written Allume a not terribly kind email about being polite and telling the dev folks they were bundling the app if you all hadn't heard anything previously. > As to the icon, I believe that is how the tiff of it shows up when you > don't hide the transparent parts. Hmmm. Okay. I've noticed that effect in some programs when they display tiffs/gifs/pngs w/ transparency. Again, it seemed odd with the "Fire 3" typo. I would think this would be a nice thing to put up on the Fire mainpage, a kind of "people thought Fire was good enough to put in a bundle of excellent OS X programs".
