Two parts. First (1) speech works, I feel silly. Sound -> Sound Level was turned all the way down. So now I have "Notification -> When I receive a message: X Speak it to me" working correctly. Second (2) - If I additionally turn on "Speak the first message from a buddy" then when a user sends me a message, the chat window pops up and the Fire crashes. It's consistent, and reproducible across at least YIM and AIM with multiple buddies for me. Logged a bug with the crash log: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php? func=detail&aid=1227964&group_id=33772&atid=409170 ..Jordan On Jun 26, 2005, at 4:03 PM, Graham Booker wrote: > I have two computers running Tiger, and both have no problems > whatsoever playing speech.
